Vanessa Ceia

Vanessa Ceia, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at McGill University and an affiliated researcher at Harvard University who specializes in cultural and social analysis, gender, and technology studies. She uses qualitative and quantitative insights to answer pressing questions about society, culture, and policy and to drive impact across private, non-profit, and academic sectors.

 

Vanessa comes to Change Logic with 10+ years of experience integrating innovative technologies and digital solutions into higher education, and expertise in data analysis and visualization, human-computer interaction, academic research and publishing, and developing university programs and partnerships with public and non-profit organizations.

 

Vanessa has published peer-reviewed articles and developed interactive digital projects on topics ranging from Natural Language Processing, feminist networks on social media, political rhetoric on Twitter, and the social impact of portrayals of women and LGBTQ peoples in contemporary media.

 

Vanessa holds a Ph.D. from New York University, an M.A. from McGill University, and a B.A. from the University of Toronto. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and conversational in French.
